TVOC-2-240 Arc Monitor ABB
The TVOC-2 arc protection system is an arc protection relay that can alleviate arc faults and help protect personnel and equipment. The arc monitor is the host of the arc protection system, which detects the light of the arc and sends an electrical signal to nearby circuit breakers within 1 millisecond through fast IGBT contacts, thereby disconnecting the power supply and extinguishing the arc. The arc monitor has 10 detector inputs and can trip up to three area selective circuit breakers if needed. Up to 2 expansion units can expand the number of photodetectors to 30, including an HMI that can be placed outside the door. The length range of the detector is wide to accommodate complete switchgear designs. The power supply voltage is 100… 250 V DC or 100… 240 V AC 50/60 Hz. The attachments include current sensing units, optical cables, cable tapes, etc.
