REF615 is a device for feeder protection measurement and control, which can be used for the protection, control, measurement, and monitoring of public substations and industrial distribution systems, including radiation, ring, and grid distribution networks with or without distributed power sources. REF615 is ABB Relion ® A member of the 615 protection measurement and control device product series in the product family. The 615 series device has the characteristics of compact structure and easy disassembly. The 615 series protection and measurement device is newly developed and designed based on the IEC 61850 standard, supporting interoperability and horizontal communication between automation equipment in substations. This device can serve as the main protection for overhead and feeder lines in the distribution network. It can also be used as backup protection in protection systems that require standing or redundancy. This series of products offers multiple standard configurations, which can be used to protect overhead lines and feeders in neutral ungrounded, resistance grounded, compensatory grounded, and directly grounded networks. Simply set according to specific applications and it can be directly put into use. The 15 series devices support multiple communication protocols, including IEC 61850 version 2, process bus based on IEC 61850-9-2 LE, IEC 60870-5-103, Modbus ®. Through the SPA-ZC 302 protocol converter, Profibus DVP1 communication can be supported.
