MVI56E-MNETC
MVI56E-MNETC is a ProSoft technology Modbus TCP/IP multi client/server enhanced network interface module. This module is particularly compatible with the ControlLogix platform. This module occupies a single slot in the ControlLogix chassis, with a power consumption of 800mA for 5 VDC and 3 mA for a 24 VDC power supply.
If used with Additional Instructions (AOI), version 16 or higher is required, and version 15 or lower is used with the provided example ladder diagram program. In addition, it also requires ProSoft Configuration Builder (PCB) to input the configuration into the module.
MVI56E-MNETC supports up to 30 MODBUS clients and 20 MODBUS servers. This module ensures higher responsiveness in a multi server architecture, minimizes the impact on other servers when a server suddenly goes offline, and supports human-machine interface (HMI), monitoring and data acquisition (SCADA), and distributed control system (DCS) by providing access to data.
MVI56E-MNETC comes with an Ethernet communication port that supports 10/100 Mbps transmission rates and can detect the use of automatic crossover cables. It is backward compatible with previous MVI56E-MNETC versions and has 10000 words, 16 bit integers, and supports custom data mapping. This module also supports the use of industrial grade CompactFlash cards for disaster recovery and quick replacement. This CF card is also known as a personality module.
