FOXBORO FBM222 P0926TL control module
FOXBORO Foxboro has been widely used in electric power, petroleum, chemical industry, natural gas, metallurgy, cement, paper making, mining, light textile, food, medicine and other industries due to its high intelligence and quality stability, and has been widely praised by users. Its products are sold worldwide, and its sales performance is among the top in the global automation field.
These advanced control technologies can reduce the interaction required by the operator and increase the time for automatic control – including during the startup and shutdown of most unit trips – so that the entire control system is more capable of handling the interference conditions and normal operation during the process. Before I/A Series DCS was installed on the feedwater control of Omaha Public Power District in Fort Calhoun Station, there were many operational challenges. The controls are not well adjusted. During power changes, level disturbances are not uncommon and low level control is poor.
John Steinke, the senior nuclear design engineer of the facility, said: “Three element control of split range is adopted on the bypass feed water valve and main valve, allowing automatic control to handle the switching from bypass to main valve. This reduces the direct manual interaction of operators, thus reducing the challenges of operators. We also rotated our steam generator feed pumps. The split range three element control greatly reduces the disturbance associated with rotating these pumps. The more accurate adjustment and control maximizes the capacity coefficient (power generation capacity) of our unit, and eliminates the unnecessary burden of licensed operators who operate the system. So far, we have not tripped due to DCS, nor have we obtained additional downtime.
