MQ controller provides communication and control between field devices and other nodes on the control network. In the early DeltaV ™ The control policy and system configuration created on the system can be used with this powerful controller. The MQ controller provides all the features and functions of the MD Plus controller, with the same amount of memory. Improve productivity MQ controllers are as fast as MD Plus controllers and provide the same configurable memory as MD Plus controllers. The Ethernet port is full-duplex, with a maximum throughput of 100MB/s. The result is lower CPU utilization and higher control policy capacity.

Self-positioning. The physical location of the controller is easy to find. The LED on the surface of the controller can flash, providing strong visual clues.
Automatic I/O detection. The controller can identify all I/O interface channels located on the subsystem. Once the I/O interface is inserted, the controller will know the general characteristics of the field devices managed by the I/O interface. This reduces the valueless engineering associated with configuration.
Connect to electronic wiring and wireless I/O. Starting from DeltaV v14.3, you can assign CHARM and wireless devices connected through CHARM I/O card (CIOC) and wireless I/O card (WIOC) to MQ controllers. This makes it easier than ever to add I/O to existing controllers by simply adding CIOC and/or WIOC to the DeltaV regional control network.
Easy to use comprehensive control. The controller manages all control activities of I/O interface channels. It also manages all communication functions of the communication network. Timestamps, alerts, and trend objects are also managed within the controller. The controller executes all control policies at an execution rate of up to 100 milliseconds.
Data protection. All online changes made to the control parameters will be automatically stored for later uploading to the engineering database. In this way, the system always keeps a complete record of all data that has been changed online.
Advanced operation. The MQ controller can handle DeltaV batch processing options and advanced control functions.
