Schneider Electric has launched a new service aimed at helping industrial manufacturers safely modernize programmable logic control (PLC) systems, sometimes in less than an hour. By reducing downtime and operational interruptions, this service can be more easily migrated to the company’s Modicon M580 Programmable Automation Controller (ePAC).
This migration combines the Unity M580 application converter with the migration expert configuration utility, which identifies operational gaps and provides recommendations to address each customer’s unique system challenges. This combination enables customers to convert Unity software applications on Quantum and Premium platforms to be compatible with Modicon M580 ePAC, while providing options for pre engineering recommendations for the new M580 I/O. The fast wiring system of the TSX Premium processor allows for upgrades to be completed in less than an hour.
Modicon M580 ePAC has improved efficiency, aimed at accelerating project execution and providing better, more accurate, and effective control over the operational profitability of the factory.

The GE/Bently Nevada 3500/05 system rack is designed to accommodate all 3500 monitor modules and rack power supplies. It allows various 3500 modules to communicate with each other and allows power supplies to be distributed to each module as needed. Full size rack: 19-inch EIA rack with 14 available module slots 2. Mini-rack: 12-inch rack with 7 available module slots 3500 racks are manufactured in three formats: 1. Panel installation: this rack format is installed on the rectangular cut of the panel and fixed on the panel with the fixture attached to the rack. The wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the rear of the rack.
2. Rack installation: This rack format installs 3500 rack on 19-inch EIA rail_ On. The wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the rear of the rack. 3. Bulkhead installation: When it is impossible to operate from the rear of the rack, this rack format can install the rack on the wall or panel. The wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the front of the rack. The 3500/05 mini rack does not have this format. The power supply and rack interface module must be located in the left-most rack position. The remaining 14 rack positions (7 rack positions of the mini rack) can be used for any module combination.
