Relay Module Configuration Matters
Before configuring the relay module, add the monitor module to the framework configuration.
Only activate the relay block channels that will be used.
In the alarm driven logic, only the monitor module may be used.
The first monitor module with only a triple modular redundancy group needs to be added to the alarm drive logic.
If a channel generates an alarm that is part of the AND arithmetic unit and the channel is bypassed, the bypassed channel’s arithmetic value is true. Due to the bypass, the alarm will not be suppressed.
If a channel generates an alarm that is part of an OR arithmetic unit and the channel is bypassed, the bypassed channel’s arithmetic value is false.
For a four channel standard relay, the total number of commands generated for the entire relay configuration will not exceed 60. The number of instructions that can be received by a relay also depends on the version of the relay programming language. Above or equal to (≥) 2 The relay programming language version 0 will be able to accept more complex relay alarm driven logic equations. Before sending, the version of the programming language will be checked and it will also determine whether the relay can receive instruction settings.
