BENTLY 3500/25 Keyphasor Module
The 3500/25 improved keyphasor module is a half height, 2-channel module used to provide keyphasing signals to the monitor modules in the 3500 rack. This module receives input signals from eddy current sensors or electromagnetic sensors and converts this signal into a digital key phase signal, which can indicate when the key phase mark on the shaft passes through the key phase probe. Each keyphasor module has 2 input channels, and the 3500 mechanical protection system can install 2 keyphasor modules to receive 4 keyphasor signals.
Note: The keyphase signal is a pulse signal from a rotating shaft or gear that is measured once or multiple times per revolution, providing accurate time measurement. Allow the 3500 monitor module and external fault diagnosis equipment to measure vector parameters such as 1X amplitude and phase.
Each keyphasor module can receive 2 signals from eddy current sensors or electromagnetic sensors. The input signal range is -0.8V to -21.0V (for non insulated I/O modules) and+5V to -11V (for insulated I/O modules). The amplitude can be limited within the module to ensure that the signal does not exceed this range. Passive electromagnetic sensors require a shaft speed greater than 200rpm (3.3Hz). On the front panel of the frame, there are 2 buffered key phase output signals through coaxial connectors. Two buffer key phase outputs can also be obtained on the back of the frame through European connectors. Front panel LED OK indicator: can indicate that a fault has been detected within the Keyphasor module.
TX/RX indicator light: emits an indicator when the keyphasor module communicates with the Rack Interface Module (RIM).

3500/05 Function Description:
A half height, dual channel module on the Bentley 3500/25 Keyphasor Module, which is used to provide keying signals to the monitoring modules of the 3500 rack. This module receives input signals from eddy current sensors or electromagnetic sensors and converts them into digital keyphase signals, which are indicated when the keyphase markings on the shaft are below the keyphase sensing probe. The 3500 monitoring system can receive four key signals. Each key signal is a digital synchronous signal pulse used for monitoring modules and external diagnostic equipment to measure vector parameters such as 1X octave amplitude and phase.
Single keyed phase sensor method
This arrangement only requires one keyphase sensor. The signal received from the sensor is input into two keyphasor modules using a cable.
When using TMR method, only two speed measurement points are provided.
Obtained data
The keyphasor module records the measured speed value from each keyphasor sensor. The speed is used as a basic parameter by the communication gateway module and framework interface module. The keyphasor module can also return module and channel status.

Automatic threshold value: The minimum signal amplitude triggered is 2V peak to peak. The minimum frequency is 120 rpm (2Hz).
Manual threshold value: used for any input greater than 0.017Hz (1 rpm for 1 event per revolution). Input from 0 to 20Vdc, selectable by the user. The minimum signal amplitude triggered is 500mV peak to peak.
Hysteresis: 0.2 to 2.5V, user selectable.
