3500/15 Features
A 3500 rack can accommodate one or two AC and DC power supplies in any combination. The entire rack can be powered by any power source. When two power supplies are placed in the rack, one in the bottom slot is used as the main power supply, while the one in the higher slot is used as the backup power supply. If a second power supply is installed, it serves as a backup power supply for the first power supply. As long as a second power supply is installed, removing or inserting any power module will not affect the operation of the rack. AC and DC power supplies accept various input voltages and convert them into voltages that other 3500 modules can use. The 3500 series mechanical protection system is equipped with the following power supplies:
Universal AC power supply
High voltage DC power supply
Low voltage DC power supply
compatibility
The Legacy 3500 AC power supply, high-voltage AC PIM, and low-voltage AC PIM are not compatible with general-purpose AC power supply and PIM (power input module).
Legacy 3500 high-voltage and low-voltage DC power supplies and PIMs cannot be used together with high-voltage and low-voltage DC power supplies and PIMs.

The universal AC power supply and power input module are not compatible with traditional high-voltage AC or low-voltage AC devices.
High voltage direct current
Description – This option uses a high-voltage DC power supply and a high-voltage DC power input module (PIM).

Description – This option uses a low-voltage DC power supply and a low-voltage DC power input module (PIM).

On the left side of the rack, there are two half height slots. Each slot accommodates one power supply.
Two slots can accommodate one power supply at the same time, allowing for redundant power supply.
Power input module
A half height module located directly behind the relevant power supply.
The 3500/22M is a transient data interface module developed by Bently Nevada. It serves as an interface for software compatible with the 3500 monitoring system (System 1 status monitoring and diagnostic software and 3500 system configuration software). TDI combines 3500/20 rack interface modules (RIM functions) with communication processors (such as TDXnet) to collect data.
3500/22M Features
In a 3500 rack, the TDI is located in the slot next to the power supply. In order to continuously collect steady-state and transient dynamic (waveform) data and transmit this data to the host software through an Ethernet link, it interacts with M-series monitors (3500/40M, 3500/42M, etc.).
TDI has traditional static data collection capabilities. However, TDI can also use optional channels to enable disk recording of dynamic, high-resolution transient data.
Function Description
The 3500 rack includes communication processing functions for TDI. Although TDI performs some tasks shared by the entire rack, it is not a critical component of the monitoring system and is not related to the effectiveness of autonomous mechanical protection in monitoring the entire system.
Each 3500 rack requires a TDI or RIM, which always occupies slot 1. (Next to the power supply).

Configure Keylock
It is used to switch 3500 racks between “RUN” and “PROM” modes. The RUN mode prevents configuration modifications and allows the rack to operate normally. The rack can be configured locally or remotely, and can still operate normally in Program mode. By removing the key from any position on the rack, the switch can remain in the running or programming position
