ABB REM620 MOTOR PROTECTION CONTROL RELAY
REF615 is a feeder protective relay complying with IEC 61850 standard for selective short circuit, overcurrent and ground fault protection. The relay is applicable to all types of neutral point non earthing system, resistance earthing system and compensation system. In addition to the input and output modules, there is also a module with both input and output circuits. The number of input and output points is generally the same, making it easier for users to determine the hardware configuration of the PLC.
The rated value of the output current is related to the nature of the load. For example, the relay output module of FX can drive a resistive load of 2A/220VAC, but can only drive an inductive load of 80VA/220VAC and a 100W incandescent lamp. The rated output current is also related to temperature. When the temperature rises, the rated output current decreases. Some PLCs provide relevant curves.
Due to heat dissipation, some output modules need to consider the total current of several output points belonging to the same common point (COM). For example, the rated output current of the transistor output module of FX is 0.8A/COM.
The use voltage of the relay output module is * * *, the conduction voltage drop is small, and the ability to withstand transient overvoltage and overcurrent is strong. However, the action speed is relatively slow, and the service life (action times) is limited. If the switching on and off of the load is not very frequent, it is recommended to choose relay type first.
Transistor type and bidirectional thyristor type modules are used for DC and AC loads, respectively. They have high reliability, fast response speed, and long life, but their overload capacity is slightly poor.
