The online configuration of the control logic of the DCS control station is a very complex technology and a very important requirement in engineering practice. The core of the problem is to solve the continuity of each control variable in the control station before and after the modification of the control configuration. The operation mechanism of the traditional DCS control station is difficult to ensure the continuity of the state of all control elements in this modification process, so it is easy to cause abnormal shutdown of the generating unit. DCS control station with data engine technology can solve this problem well. Because the very important feature of data engine technology is that the calculation process of control elements is based on the topological space structure of control elements, which is independent of the position of relevant control elements in the database or control station memory, and also independent of other characteristics of control element status (such as status name, etc.). Due to historical and commercial reasons, the configuration data between DCS and PLC of different manufacturers cannot be directly compatible, which undoubtedly brings many impacts on the investment of industrial control system. To this end, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) formulated the IECl31 PLC standard in 1993. The IECl31-3 standard specifies five forms of programming languages. After 1998, the standard was changed to IEC61131. However, we can see that this only solves the compatibility problem of PLC configuration, and the compatibility of PLC configuration only stays at the similar level of interface configuration, while DCS has no unified standard configuration form at all.
