3500/05-01-01-00-00-00 system rack BENTLY
The 3500/05-01-01-00-00-00 system rack can accommodate all 3500 display modules and rack power supplies. It allows various 3500 modules to communicate with each other and allows the power supply to allocate power to each module as needed. There are two rack sizes for the 3500 rack:
Full size rack 19 inch EIA rack with 14 available module slots
Mini rack 12 inch rack with 7 available module slots
3500 units are available in three forms:
Install the panel installation format into the rectangular cut of the panel and secure it to the panel using the clips provided with the rack. The wiring connections and I/O modules can be accessed from the rear of the rack.
The rack installation format installs 3500 racks on 19 inch EIA rails. The wiring connections and I/O modules can be accessed from the rear of the rack.
When the rear of the rack cannot be accessed, the partition installation format installs the rack on the wall or panel. The wiring connections and I/O modules can be accessed from the front of the rack. 3500/05 Mini Rack does not provide this format.
The power supply and rack interface module must occupy the leftmost rack position. The remaining 14 rack positions (7 rack positions of Mini Rack) can be used for any module combination.
3500/15 features
The 3500 rack can accommodate one or two AC and DC power supplies in any combination. The entire rack can be powered by any power source. When two power supplies are placed in the rack, one in the bottom slot is used as the main power supply, while the other in the higher slot is used as the backup power supply. If a second power source is installed, it serves as a backup power source for the first power source. As long as a second power supply is installed, removing or inserting any power module will not affect the operation of the rack. AC and DC power sources accept various input voltages and convert them into voltages that can be used by other 3500 modules. The 3500 series mechanical protection system is equipped with the following power supplies:
