Power module
The Quantum power module has two functions – providing power to the system motherboard and protecting the system from clutter and rated voltage fluctuations. All power supplies have overcurrent and overvoltage protection. They can be used normally in most electrical clutter environments without the need for external isolation transformers. In the event of an unexpected power outage, the power supply ensures that the system has sufficient time to shut down safely and orderly.
The power supply converts the incoming electrical energy into a stable+5V DC for use by the CPU, local 1/0, and any communication option modules installed on the motherboard. The electrical energy located between the on-site sensor/actuator and Quantum1/0 point is not provided through these power modules.
Power template classification:
Low power independent power supply
High power accumulation type power supply
High power redundant power supply
Redundant power supply
A redundant power supply will provide 8A or 11A (depending on the model) current to the Quantum motherboard. For applications that require high availability, two redundant power supplies can be used within a single motherboard to provide 8A or 11A (depending on the model) redundant current. When a power supply fails, the normal power supply will maintain the required power, so that the processing of the motherboard and active communication are not affected. Each redundant power supply has a status bit that can be monitored by applications or supervisory systems in the CPU to quickly respond to power failures.
If additional power is required in a redundant power configuration, a third redundant power module can be added to the motherboard to increase the redundant power capacity to 16A or 20A (depending on the model). If one of the three power supplies fails, the other two normal modules will switch to standard redundant mode and provide 8A or 11A (depending on the model) of redundant current to the motherboard.
If you want to lower your warehouse requirements, you can use a single redundant power module as an independent power supply.
Redundant power sources include 115/230V AC, 24V DC, 48/60V DC, and 125 DC source voltages.
