125768-01 I/O module BENTLY
125768-01 is a RIM I/O module developed by Bently Nevada with RS232/RS422 interfaces. It is part of the Bentley Nevada 3500 series. The rack interface module serves as the primary interface for the 3500 rack (RIM). It supports private protocols for setting up racks and obtaining machine data.
125768-01 Function Description
The first rack slot must contain RIM (next to the power supply). RIM is compatible with TDXnet, TDIX, and DDIX Bently Nevada external communication processors.
Although RIM performs some tasks shared by the entire rack, it is not an important component of the monitoring system and has little to do with the normal operation of the entire system. Each rack requires one RIM. For applications using Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR), the 3500 system requires RIM’s TMR version.
In addition to performing all other normal RIM operations, TMR RIM also performs “monitoring channel comparison”.
