The FBM227 module provides signal conversion functionality for connecting analog and digital electronic input/output signals from on-site sensors/actuators. It has four 0 to 10 V DC analog input channels and two 0 to 10 V DC analog output channels, all of which are individually isolated. For digital I/O signals (on/off state), it has four digital input channels, two channels per group, four digital output channels, isolated in pairs.

2. Two 0-10V analog output channels for driving locators, controllers, or remote indicators
3. Four 130 V DC digital input channels, used for contact sensing or DC voltage monitoring. Four digital output channels, used for switching 60 V DC output with external power sources (such as controlling the power supply of various external loads), or for switching three wire DC output with internal 11 V DC power sources (such as supplying power to external solid-state relays or other similar devices). Supports DPIDA and MDACT control modules
4. Each pair of analog input or output channels is isolated separately from other channels and ground (ground). Its digital channel is isolated in pairs from all other channels and ground (earth wire)
5. Designed to be sturdy and suitable for G3 level (harsh) environments.
Standard design
The FBM227 module features a sturdy extruded aluminum casing that provides physical protection for the circuit. The chassis designed specifically for installing FBM can provide varying degrees of environmental protection, up to the harsh environment specified in ISA standard S71.04.
Easy to disassemble/replace
When disassembling/replacing modules, there is no need to remove on-site equipment terminal cables, power or communication cables.
Visual indicator light
The light-emitting diode (LED) at the front end of the module provides visual status indication of the fieldbus module (FBM) function.
Installation of module base plate
The module can be installed on the module base plate or conversion installation structure, and can accommodate up to four or eight FBMs. The module backplane can be installed on DIN rails or racks, including signal connectors for redundant fieldbus, redundant independent DC power supplies, and terminal cables.
Fieldbus communication
The fieldbus communication module or control processor communicates with FBM227 through the redundant 2 Mbps module fieldbus used by FBM. The FBM227 module accepts communication from either path (A or B) of the redundant 2 Mbps fieldbus – if one of the paths fails or shuts down at the system level, the module will continue to communicate through the active path.
