BENTLY 136188-02 communication module
3500/92 is a communication gateway module developed by Bently Nevada. The 3500/92 communication gateway module provides a wide range of serial (RS232/RS422/RS485) and Ethernet TCP/IP communication functions, used to integrate all rack monitoring values and status with process control and other automation systems. In addition, it also supports Ethernet communication with data collection software and 3500 rack configuration software. The supported protocols include:
Modicon Modbus protocol (via serial communication)
Modbus/TCP protocol (serial Modbus variant for TCP/IP Ethernet communication)
Proprietary Bently Nevada Protocol (for communication with 3500 rack configuration and data collection software packages)
Another application of the 3500/25 125792-01 four slot backplane is to implement redundant control systems using two real-time automation controller (RTAC) modules. The original ten slot backplane is suitable for large-scale control applications with more centralized input and output. Both the Axion RTAC module and SEL-3530 RTAC now support IEC 61850 GOOSE, which can receive up to 120 messages and send 48 messages, providing greater flexibility in integrating various intelligent electronic devices (IEDs). SEL continues to develop new features for Axion. Later this year, various input/output (I/O) modules will be released, including DC analog input, AC metering, fast high current digital output, and DC analog output modules, to expand Axion’s monitoring and control capabilities.
