The user program of LC is composed of several instructions, which are arranged in the order of step number in the memory. When there is no jump instruction, the CPU executes the user program one by one from the instruction to the end of the user program. When executing an instruction, read the 0/1 state of the relevant programming element from the input image register or other component image register, and perform the corresponding logical operation according to the requirements of the instruction, and write the result of the operation into the corresponding component image register. Therefore, the contents of the image register of each programming element (except the input image register) change with the execution of the program.
In the output processing stage, CP/7 transfers the 0/1 status of the output image register to the output latch. When the coil of an output relay in the ladder is “energized”, the corresponding output image register is in 1 state. After the signal is isolated and amplified by the output module, the coil of the corresponding hardware relay in the relay type output module is energized, and its normally open contact is closed, so that the external load is energized for operation.
If the coil of the output relay in the ladder diagram is “powered off”, the corresponding output image register is in 0 state. After the output processing stage, the coil of the corresponding hardware relay in the relay type output module is powered off, its normally open contact is disconnected, the external load is powered off, and the operation stops.
