REF615 is a kind of special feeder IED (intelligent electronic device) designed to protect, control, measure and supervise public substations and industrial power systems, including radial, ring and mesh distribution networks, with or without distributed generation. REF615 is a member of ABB sReliaon product family and a part of its 615 protection and control product family. The 615 series IEDs are characterized by their compactness and withdrawable unit design.
REF615 was redesigned from the beginning to release the full potential of IEC 61850 standard in terms of communication and interoperability between substation automation equipment. IED provides the main protection for overhead lines and cable feeders in the distribution network. IED is also used for backup protection in applications requiring independent redundant protection systems. REF615 According to the selected standard configuration, lED is applicable to overhead lines and cable feeders in protective neutral isolation, resistance grounding, compensation and reliable grounding networks. — Once the standard configuration IEDH is given application specific settings, REF615 can be directly put into use.
The REF615 series IEDs support a series of communication protocols, including IEC61850 with GOOSE messaging, IEC 60870-5-103, Modbus @, and DNP3.

ABB robots provide rich I/O communication interfaces, which can easily communicate with peripheral devices.

1. Common signal processing provided by ABB standard I/O includes digital input di, digital output do, analog input ai and analog output AO. And conveyor chain tracking.
2. ABB robots can be equipped with standard ABB PLC. It saves the trouble of communication with external PLC, and can realize PLC related operations on the robot’s teaching pendant.
