PROSOFT MVI56-MCM communication module
In 1998, Douglas Sharratt, the founder of PROSOFT, implemented a project for Mobil Oil. The Rockwell Automation PLC processor he used needed to communicate with one SCADA host through Modbus protocol. After business discussion with Allen Bradley, he decided to develop this communication device himself, and finally developed a solution based on EPROM (Programmable Read Only Memory) chip for the 1771 DB (PLC-5 BASIC) module, so that PLC-5 can communicate through Modbus. So far, the first Modbus slave communication module for the PLC-5 platform was born. PROSOFT’s radiolinx IH browser is a tool for wireless configuration and monitoring of radiolinx industry hotspots. Use the browser of radiolinx IH to view the user’s network topology, determine the controller, client and relay radio between the best “paths”, and detect the existence of other wireless devices on the network.
